1. Information We Collect

When you use Rinkuru, we store the original URLs you submit for shortening, along with any metadata you provide — such as a custom title, description, or preview image. We do not collect personal identifying information such as your name, email address, or IP address beyond what is required for basic operation and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely to operate and maintain the Service — specifically, to generate shortened links and serve redirects. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the core functionality of Rinkuru.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on Turso, a database provider that offers edge-distributed SQLite databases. Turso processes and stores data in accordance with their own privacy and security policies. We do not control Turso's infrastructure directly, but we selected them for their strong security posture and compliance standards.

4. Cookies and Session Management

Rinkuru uses cookies strictly for session authentication — to keep you logged in as an administrator. We do not use cookies for analytics, tracking, or advertising purposes. No third-party cookies are set by the Service.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to any third party. We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms. The only circumstances under which data may be disclosed are: (a) with your explicit consent, or (b) when required by law or legal process.

6. Third-Party Services and Analytics

Rinkuru does not use any third-party analytics tools, tracking scripts, or advertising networks. There are no Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tracking technologies embedded in the Service. Your browsing activity on Rinkuru is not monitored or recorded by external parties.

7. Data Retention

We retain your shortened link data for as long as the Service is operational, or until you choose to delete it. If you wish to have your links and associated metadata removed, you may do so through the admin dashboard or by contacting us directly.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under data protection law: the right to access the personal data we hold about you; the right to rectification of inaccurate data; the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"); the right to restrict processing; the right to data portability; and the right to object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. All data is transmitted over HTTPS, and administrative access is protected by encrypted session tokens. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Rinkuru is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact Us

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, or if you wish to exercise your data rights, please contact us.
